Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking to join a forward-thinking engineering company with a strong reputation in high-precision manufacturing? Our client, based in Coventry, is currently seeking a skilled CNC Turner to contribute to their growing team.

They specialise in complex components for critical industries including oil & gas, nuclear, aerospace, and defence. Our modern facility is equipped with state-of-the-art CNC machines and operates to the highest standards of quality and precision.

Role Overview:
As a CNC Turner, you'll be responsible for setting, operating, and editing CNC lathes to produce high-quality components to customer specifications. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC turning machines (multi-axis lathes).

Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

Make minor program edits as required (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls).

Ensure work is completed to tight tolerances and exacting standards.

Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.

Work with a variety of materials including stainless steels, Inconel, and specialist alloys.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow all health & safety protocols.

What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of your workload.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.

Competence with measuring tools (micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, etc.).

Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls (preferred).

Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous).

Shifts days - Monday to Friday 08;30 - 17:00
nights Monday to Thursday 18;00 - 04;30 (nightshift + 1/3 of rate)

£13.00 - £20.00 per hour dependant on experience
