SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Oldham

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected mainstream primary school in Oldham.

The Role:

Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 with a range of special educational needs

Delivering targeted interventions in small groups or on a 1:1 basis

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track progress and adapt learning

Creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners

£90-£100 per day, depending on experience

Full training and ongoing support provided

Opportunity for a permanent contract based on performance

The leadership team is committed to staff wellbeing and continuous development, offering regular CPD and SEN-specific training. The school caters for children from Reception to Year 6, many of whom require tailored support to thrive both academically and emotionally.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, etc.)

Experience delivering small-group or 1:1 interventions

SEN experience is highly desirable (e.g., autism, speech & language, SEMH)

Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a proactive attitude

A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young learners
