Tax Senior / Assistant Manager – Manchester
Hybrid Working & Progression Opportunities
An established and fast-growing accountancy practice in Manchester is looking to appoint a Tax Senior or Assistant Manager to join their expanding tax team. This is a mixed tax role, offering exposure to both compliance and advisory work across a broad client base of owner-managed businesses.
The firm is open to candidates at different stages of their tax career, whether you're an experienced Tax Senior ready to step up, or an Assistant Manager seeking a fresh challenge with a forward-thinking firm.
The Role:- Managing a varied portfolio, including compliance and planning work
- Advising on corporate and personal tax matters
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax, corporation tax, CGT computations and returns
- Providing support on specialist projects including M&A, R&D tax credits, share schemes, and trusts
- Mentoring junior staff and supporting Partners on advisory engagements
- Liaising with HMRC and clients on technical matters
About You:- ATT and/or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Strong tax knowledge gained within an accountancy practice
- Confident communicator, able to manage client relationships
- Experience across both corporate and personal tax platforms
- Proficient in tax software and MS Office
- Commercially minded with a focus on quality and service
What’s on Offer:- Salary from £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience and qualifications
