Countless awards have been won by this tier one, multidisciplinary consultancy.Situated in a luxury, high spec office in central Birmingham, a stones throw from both New Street and Snow Hill stations, the office is easily accessible both to locals and commuters.The Role:This opportunity is a scaling role that is open to experienced Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modellers, Engineers and Consultants, at either Consultant, Senior, or Principal level.The responsibilities will adapt to suit your level of experience but will include:

  • Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Modelling (fluvial, pluvial and tidal).
  • Hydraulic modelling (1D, 2D, and 1D-2D).
  • Normal/low flow/water resources modelling and WINEP investigations.
  • Natural Flood Management Investigations.
  • FEH analyses.
  • Surface water flood modelling (2D direct-rainfall).
  • Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Fluvial Geomorphology Audits.
  • Hydromorphological Impact Assessments.
  • Water Framework Directive Assessments.
  • Sediment Transport Assessments/modelling.
  • Bespoke Hydrological Assessments.
  • Hydrological Monitoring.
  • River restoration.
  • Natural Flood Management.
  • Discharge permit applications and a wide variety of similar projects.

Required Knowledge:

  • Hydraulic Modelling software (e.g Flood Modeller Pro, ISIS - Tuflow, Estry - Tuflow).
  • Knowledge of hydrological assessments and flow estimation or other flow calculation methods.
  • You will ideally hold a relevant degree, such as Environmental Science.
