Our client, a fast-paced same-day courier business based near Heathrow, is seeking an experienced and proactive transport planner who has route planning experience for UK & EU to join their operations team.

Hours 06.30am - 15.30pm Monday - Friday

This is a hands-on role suited to someone highly organised, detail-oriented and calm under pressure, with previous experience in the courier, transport, logistics or freight sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, drivers and suppliers via phone and email
• Take bookings, prepare quotes and allocate jobs to drivers
• Plan routes and allocate vehicles based on weights and dimensions
• Route planning for EU / UK
• Update systems with job status, costs and PODs
• Ensure smooth service delivery through clear communication and attention to detail
• Carry out general admin and occasional basic warehouse duties
• Participate in an out-of-hours call rota
• Occasional driving duties as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in courier / transport / logistics / freight (operations or driver background considered)
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Confident using IT systems and willing to learn new software
• Full UK driving license (max 6 points, no bans)
• 5-year checkable work history
• UK resident for the past 5 years
• DBS check required
• Right to work in the UK
