Job Title: Mobile BMS Engineer (Trend & Tridium)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced BMS Engineer with strong skills in Trend and Tridium (Niagara) systems to join our growing Building Management Systems team. This is a mobile role, requiring travel to client sites for planned maintenance, reactive support, commissioning, and small works across a wide range of commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide on-site and remote support for BMS systems, primarily Trend and Tridium/Niagara.

- Carry out PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and functional checks to ensure system performance and energy efficiency.

- Diagnose and resolve faults, alarms, and control issues across a variety of HVAC and building automation systems.

- Perform adjustments, re-commissioning, and optimisation to improve system performance.

- Support and deliver small works, including software modifications, panel upgrades, and controller replacements.

- Install and configure Trend IQ controllers, IQL systems, and Tridium/Niagara frameworks.

- Produce clear and accurate technical reports, RAMS, and documentation following each visit.

- Work closely with clients, facility managers, and project teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.

- Participate in out-of-hours emergency support (if part of team rota).

Skills & Experience Required

- Strong hands-on experience with Trend BMS (IQ Vision, IQ3/4 controllers, SET tools).

- Proven knowledge of Tridium Niagara (AX/N4), including graphics, logic, and integration.

- Good understanding of HVAC plant, control theory, and building automation.

- Ability to fault-find, commission, and optimise BMS systems independently.

- Experience working in commercial environments such as offices, hospitals, data centres, or industrial buildings.

- Full UK driving licence (mobile role).

- Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.

Desirable Qualifications

- Trend Commissioning Engineer or Expert certification.

- Tridium N4 Certification (Niagara 4 Technical Certification).

- Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC, HND, or equivalent).

- Experience with additional BMS/controls platforms (Siemens, Schneider, Cylon, etc.).
