An established and growing professional services firm is seeking a highly organised and conscientious Internal Accounting Officer to support the internal finance operations of the business. The successful candidate will work directly with senior leadership and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and overseeing a range of core finance functions.

Please note this is a fully office-based position.

• Bookkeeping and VAT returns using Xero

• Bank transaction processing and reconciliations

• Sales and purchase ledger administration

• Credit control (sole responsibility)

• Processing invoices, standing orders, and recurring client charges

• Direct debit collection runs and client account management

• Reconciling company sales invoices with internal billing records

• Posting manual journals and managing disbursements

• Administration of a client protection service (onboarding, renewals, processing)

• Reconciling software disbursement charges and IFA commission receipts

• Light bookkeeping and ledger management for an affiliated property investment company

• Preparation of service charge accounts

• Managing mileage claims and benefit scheme data uploads

• Payroll for 24+ staff (only if experienced—this is optional)

• Reconciling and managing client account transactions

• Supporting other miscellaneous finance-related tasks
