Manpower are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to join our national client based in Tyseley, Birmingham.

Temporary on going

Monday - Friday
08:30 - 17:30 (flexibility required to work additional hours to meet the clients needs)
£15 per hour

What does the role involve?

Our client is consistently growing, taking on new customers daily which has brought in the need to expand their operational team to ensure an effective and efficient operation is always maintained. In the role of Warehouse Shift Manager, it will be your responsibility to oversee the day-to-day activities within their warehouse facility. You will lead a team of dedicated warehouse employees in multiple different customer contracts, fostering a positive work environment while maintaining a focus on efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Day to day management of the inventory function for all customers across the Consumer Fulfilment Centre.
  • Devise and implement Inventory KPI targets to ensure business and customer requirements are achieved.
  • Maintain stock accuracy and integrity in line with contractual requirements, minimising stock loss through investigation and resolution of errors.
  • Interrogation and approval of departmental spreadsheets / reports as required to ensure the integrity of inventory KPI data
  • Support onsite Management team in attending regular customer reviews and provide supporting inventory MI.
  • Attend Management huddles to support the flow of information and feedback for all business and customer updates and initiatives.
  • Ability to use trend analysis to identify issues and areas of potential loss, ensuring all corrective actions are applied in line with the K&N process of continuous improvement.
  • Encouraging staff participation in process improvement, raising quality and effective team-working.
  • Conduct regular reviews of training plans associated with Inventory control to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Requirements:

The experienced candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Good knowledge of creating and interrogating spreadsheets
  • Ability of interpreting data
  • High level of knowledge on warehouse management systems
  • Development and understanding of KPIs
  • Health & Safety knowledge
  • Experience of dealing with high value and high volume stock transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - at all levels
