We are working with a mainstream Primary School in the Horsham area who are looking for an experienced and SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.

The role will be to support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs and a range of additional learning difficulties. We are looking for someone with both SEN and Primary School experience.

Your key duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to:

• Support a KS1 & 2 students on 1:1 basis.
• Follow IEPs.
• Manage any challenging behaviour
• Work under the direction of the class teacher.
• Creating a calm and safe environment for the pupil to thrive in
• Adapt teaching support according to student's needs
• Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare

It is essential that you have previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with SEN and being able to help children with their work who are academically struggling.

The school is set in a suburban site in the Horsham area in a nice residential area.
