Join our dedicated team as a Learning & Development Trainer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our teams to deliver exceptional care. This position involves developing, delivering, and managing social care training programmes for staff and volunteers across various roles within the company. This role is ideal for someone passionate about enhancing care quality through effective training and development.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a wide range of social care training courses to frontline staff and other roles within the organisation, supporting the delivery of high-quality and effective care and support.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging training sessions on a variety of health and social care topics, including mandatory topics such as manual handling, medication, safeguarding, and emergency first aid.
  • Develop and implement engaging training programmes and materials that reflect best practice standards, regulatory requirements, sector guidelines, and our values.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of face-to-face training and e-learning to continuously improve learning sessions, training delivery, and course content.
  • Support in the delivery and assessment of the care certificate framework to all care staff, including accessing and marking care certificates.
  • Design and deliver engaging induction training to all new employees to support retention of new starters.
  • Provide refresher face-to-face training for existing staff and support learners who may have specific needs, working creatively to overcome any barriers to learning.
  • Manage and devise a training calendar to meet the demands of the business and maintain up-to-date records of training delivery, monitoring staff compliance with training KPIs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • PTLLS/Level 3 in Education and Training or equivalent.
  • A professional qualification in nursing, social care, or a related care discipline with post-qualification experience.
  • Train the Trainer qualifications (BLS, M&H, medication, mental health, etc.).
  • Experience of delivering training in a social care setting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of person-centred planning approaches and CQC requirements & expectations.
  • IT literate, including proficiency in MS Teams.
  • Ability to maintain and enhance effective working relationships and adapt training methods to meet the needs of learners.
