Our client is looking for a Human Resources professional who is adept at navigating the complexities of personnel management, understands the nuances of organizational development, and can drive strategic initiatives to foster a positive and productive workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day HR activities including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations.

  • Oversee and ensure timely submission of WSP and ensure adherence to all BEE requirements.

  • Design and implement training programs that meet the needs of the business and its employees.

  • Review, develop, and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices.

  • Handle complex disciplinary matters in conjunction with departmental managers.

  • Drive the performance review process and ensure timely feedback to all staff.

  • Engage with senior leadership and departmental managers to align HR strategies with business goals.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest HR trends and laws to ensure company compliance.

  • Oversee and manage employee benefits programs and participate in compensation benchmarking exercises.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual HR metrics and reports to drive decision-making.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in the Manufacturing, Construction, or Mining sectors.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with employees at all levels.

  • Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and make data-driven decisions.

  • Capability to think strategically and execute methodically.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing business needs.

  • Skilled in handling disputes, negotiations, and can work towards amicable solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR department staff members.

  • Familiarity with HR software and tools.

  • Always looking for ways to improve processes and systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in the Manufacturing, Construction, or Mining industries.

  • Knowledge of BEE requirements and WSP submissions is essential.

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
