Copello have partnered with an established engineering business in the recruitment of a Principal Cost Engineer. This role can be based out of either Bolton or Stevenage.

Role responsibilities:

* Manufacturing with forecast production costs followed by whole life cycle analysis

* Bid Teams and future business

* Design to cost

* Working with Design and Manufacturing stakeholders at all levels

* Responsible for generating and maintaining Business Cost Forecasting documents throughout the whole life cycle of the project/equipment

* Analysis of cost data for reporting back to the business

* Question information that is being used to ensure robust forecasting and transparency

* Lead and Facilitate meetings

* Challenge current forecasting processes for continuous improvement

Qualifications/Experience:

* A strong background in engineering/manufacturing is essential.

* Experience of estimating/cost engineering is desirable.

* Relevant production life cycle experience is highly desirable.

* Skilled in managing deadlines with the ability to multi-task and prioritise own work and work of others.

* Strong analytical skills.

* Able to assimilate facts from a range of sources.

* Self-motivated with the resilience and tenacity to deliver results through others.
