My Client is offering an exciting full-time opportunity for a fully qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our facilities team in Peterborough covering three secondary schools in the city. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Key activities:

* To deliver electrical PPM and reactive works across the Peterborough schools PFI contract

* To apply trade skills to undertake scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance tasks. This will include testing of wiring to fixed electrical installations, emergency lighting and portable appliances

* To immediately report and/or make safe any potentially dangerous or hazardous situations and escalate to line management

* To manage own monthly workload using PDA handheld device and be familiar with Maximo or similar asset management software system

* To ensure prompt and accurate completion of all associated paperwork

* Participation in a rolling callout rota

Skills, qualifications and experience:

* Previous experience in a similar role essential

* Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical discipline with suitable industry

* Testing & Inspection certificated 2391/2 City & Guild or equivalent
