The role
As a Field Service Engineer for our machine tool client, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional support and service to their clients. You'll travel to customer sites across the south of the UK, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our cutting-edge machines. With your expertise, you'll ensure their customers' operations run smoothly, driving productivity and success in the manufacturing industry.

As a Field Service Engineer you will take responsibility for:
Responding to routine service and breakdown requests with a wide range of blue-chip customers, on a variety of machinery, robotics, ABB, FANUC, Multi Axis CNC Machines
Providing coverage to customers UK-wide or within a certain demographic to install machines and respond to customer issues/breakdowns, including overnight stays.
Responsible for installations and post-installation support
Ensuring you remain on-site with the customer throughout until full completion of the service.
Developing an understanding and product knowledge of the wider range of machine tools across the group.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
Previous experience of working in a service or maintenance role and a strong desire to work in the field.
Experience working on Machine Tools/CNC machines (servicing or maintaining)
Electro-Mechanical Maintenance in an industrial/Manufacturing/Metal working environment.
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
Previous experience of working with FANUC, Lathes, machining centres
Experience of fault-finding and interrogating PLCs
