Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in your designated section with consistency and attention to detail.
- Assist in the development of new dishes and menus.
- Ensure all mise en place is completed before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your station.
- Follow kitchen procedures, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with other kitchen and service staff.
- Support senior chefs with training and supervision of kitchen staff as needed.
- Participate in stock control, deliveries, and inventory checks.
- Minimise waste and contribute to efficient kitchen operations.
Education and Experience:
- Culinary qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment preferred.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management and organisational skills
