Town Planner

Cheltenham

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Town Planner to join an established planning consultancy in Cheltenham. The successful Town Planner can expect to work as part of an established team and undertake a variety of residential, commercial and strategic land projects.

Qualifications:

For this role suitable candidates will have a degree in a planning related discipline and ideally a further MSc (or equivalent), be working towards becoming a Chartered Member of RTPI and will have previous town planning experience, either within a consultancy or local government environment.

Duties:

• Promoting large scale developments (brownfield and greenfield) through the local plan process
• Undertaking research and site appraisals
• Assisting with major applications and appeals
• Preparing and submitting small/medium scale applications
• Drafting representations to local plans
