MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based near Durham, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Production Manager to join their team. You will be joining an expanding, dynamic company, with an excellent team-based culture and a clear-cut progression plan towards Operations Director. Our client is experiencing a period of sustained growth and expansion as they widen their customer portfolio, with many high-value orders secured for many years into the future.

The Job You’ll Do;

• Overseeing the smooth day-to-day production process involving 30-40 shop-floor staff and 4-5 direct reports
• Ensuring operations run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Driving a continuous improvement culture using KPIs and lean initiatives
• Acting as a role model and leader, motivating teams across all levels and setting a good example
• Reviewing the manufacturability of products and how this affects project schedules and deadlines
• Managing site production costs

About You;

• 3 + years’ experience in a management role within a fast-paced production setting
• An understanding of fabrication, welding and CNC processes is desirable
• The ability to motivate staff and be present on the shop floor
• An understanding of continuous improvement strategies is beneficial (Six Sigma, LEAN etc.)
• Possess drive, passion and energy to drive processes forward
• The ambition to take the step up to Operations Manager & Director in the mid-long term
• A strong communicator at all levels
