Close to the train station and local bus routes, this nursery cares for children from babies to 5 years old. As a Nursery Practitioner you will help to provide high-quality care and education for the children. You will help to facilitate a range of activities for the children including singing, maths, cooking, PE, woodwork and outside grow vegetables in their allotment - making every day a learning adventure.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote children's cognitive, social, and physical development. This might involve organizing and leading activities, games, and educational experiences
  • Keep open and effective communication with parents or guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and daily activities
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of the children in your care
  • Regularly observe and assess each child's development, behaviour, and needs. Keep detailed records and share progress with parents and caregivers during parent-teacher meetings
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Minimum Level 3 recognised Childcare qualification
  • Effective communication skills to interact with children, parents, and the team
  • Proficiency in record-keeping, following nursery policies and health and safety guidelines
  • The capability to work effectively with the whole team of educators and support staff, promoting a positive and collaborative atmosphere
