SEND Teacher - Secondary - Complex Learning Needs - South Birmingham
A welcoming and well-resourced special school in South Birmingham is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teacher to join their team, teaching secondary-aged students with complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a committed teacher who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

As a SEND Teacher in this setting, you will deliver engaging, personalised lessons to small groups, ensuring that every student can access learning and make progress. Students have a range of needs, including Autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities and additional communication or sensory needs. You will work closely with a supportive leadership team, experienced teaching assistants, and a network of specialist staff to create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.

Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
Using a variety of strategies and resources to support engagement and progress
Working closely with teaching assistants to ensure consistent support in lessons
Building strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies
Supporting students with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation
Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independenceThe ideal candidate will have:

QTS and experience teaching in a SEND setting
Knowledge of strategies for supporting students with complex needs
A creative, flexible approach to planning and teaching
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
