Exceptional opportunity for an AAT qualified or part qualified Accountant as Assistant Management Accountant within a an excellent culture business who are enjoying continued growth based in Central Hertfordshire.Whilst reporting in to the Financial Controller you will be joining a friendly finance team and will gain exposure to a variety of accounting duties. This role is perfectly suited to a candidate looking to gain full qualification.
Accountabilities and duties include:- Play a key role in the reconciliation of revenue on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Supporting and assisting with Management Accounts.
- Take ownership of bank reconciliations; investigate and clear reconciling items promptly.
- Prepare weekly aged debtor and creditor reports, taking ownership of the ledgers and resolving issues.
- Process employee expenses and company credit cards, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reconciliations.
- Provide AP support by validating supplier set-up, resolving coding queries, chasing invoices/statements, and preparing due-for-payment listings for payment runs.
- Maintain structured, audit-ready documentation and assist with the preparation of Audits.
- Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the production and posting of month end journals.
Skills & Experience Required1–3+ years in finance support / ledger / junior accounting role (flexible).Hands-on bank reconciliation experience (must).Good Excel (lookups, pivots, filters); comfortable cleaning data.Accounting system exposure: Dynamics 365, QBO, Xero, Sage, or similar.Organised, deadline-driven; communicates blockers early.Clear documentation & evidence discipline.Strong transactional background.Strong attention to detail.
