Charlton Morris are representing a firm specialising in industrial processing of food waste based in then Cotswolds. Pioneering within the Renewable Energy sector, our Client utilises the waste as a raw material to create methane, which in turn is used to generate electricity and gas both of which are exported to the national grids and are 100% renewable.

Overall Purposes of the Role:

The engineering team are responsible for the maintenance and repair of Production machinery, AD process equipment, water treatment plant, buildings and site civils. They are also charged with optimising the performance of the AD process by interpreting analysis results e.g. methane content and H2S of Biogas and taking the necessary action

The Engineering Manager needs to ensure the team of Engineers are performing at optimum efficiency. The Engineering team need to ensure

* adherence to safe working practices

* timely response to breakdowns

* high quality of maintenance and repair

* a proactive approach to improving machinery efficiency and effectiveness

Out of hours Engineering support (that include weekends) is detailed in the Call-Out rota

Key Responsibilities:

* Management of the Engineering team, including staff performance management and project lead

* Adhere to the Site Health & Safety policy in all work activities and taking lead on H&S with team

* Managing SOP's and RA's associated with engineering activities

* Taking lead on installing Asset Panda and its ongoing maintenance

* Completing Planned Maintenance tasks and recording of corrective actions on the computer based Maintenance system

* Ensuring that time keeping and punctuality is maintained at an acceptable level.

* Co-ordination of breakdowns ensuring quickest possible response and rectification

* Scheduling and organisation of maintenance and improvement works and liaising with suppliers to source critical parts and managing costs associated to this

* Ensure stock levels are maintained to a reasonable economic level, ensuring common failure parts are available by identifying parts required and upcoming issues are identified to the Plant Manager

* Supervise contractors ensuring safe systems of work are followed

* Management of projects

Essential Requirements:

* Relevant Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical) and/or Experienced time served Engineer

* Ability to read and interpret all Engineering Drawings

* Development and Implementation of 'Safe Systems of Work'

* Knowledge of PLC Programming, Total Productive Maintenance and World class manufacturing standards and techniques i.e. OEE, SMED, 5S

* Experienced in using Maintenance Management System

* Directing and supervising of Contractors

* Experience managing people

Desirable Requirements:

* Math 'A' level or Equivalent, English 'A' level or Equivalent, Physics 'A' Level or Equivalent

* WAMITAB qualified and SAP qualified

* Train the Trainer qualified

* Leadership Training

* Management Training
