Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

Service, maintain, and repair HGVs and trailers to DVSA standards
Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and rectify efficiently
Complete all relevant paperwork and job records accurately
Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Liaise with parts department to ensure smooth job flow
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician

Essential

Proven experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Comfortable working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern
Desirable

HGV Class 1 or 2 licence
IRTEC accreditation
Experience in dealership or fleet environments
