Quantity Surveyor Job Description:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for modular building projects.

- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify potential cost saving opportunities.

- Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to ensure project feasibility.

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive quotes.

- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.

- Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.

- Provide expert advice on cost management, value engineering, and contract administration.

- Evaluate variations and negotiate favourable outcomes with clients and subcontractors.

- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to modular construction and quantity surveying.

Requirements:

- Degree OR relevant experience in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

- Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control.

- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for quantity surveying (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

- Ability to work well in a team and independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
