A dedicated Autism-specific provision in the NG4 area is looking for an empathetic and reliable Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with complex communication needs, sensory differences and a wide range of developmental profiles.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting autistic pupils 1:1 or in small groups using structured, visual and communication-based strategies
Helping learners engage through predictable routines and personalised plans
Encouraging independence, communication, emotional regulation and life skills
Providing sensory support and calm guidance throughout the school day
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and specialist staff
Creating a safe, stable and nurturing environment where every child can growWhat We're Looking For

Experience supporting autistic children or young people with SEND, ASC/ASD, sensory needs or communication differences
Understanding of visual aids, schedules and clear, consistent communication
A patient, steady and calm approach - especially during moments of dysregulation
Flexibility and confidence adapting to individual needs and learning styles
A collaborative, team-focused attitude
Enhanced DBS for both Child & Adult Workforce (or willingness to apply promptly)What You'll Gain
