A well-established and highly regarded electrical engineering contractor is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join its growing team due to continued success and increasing demand.

The business operates across electrical installations, fire and security systems, testing and inspection, control systems and automation, and data services. It delivers high-quality solutions to commercial and industrial clients and offers a varied role suited to an enthusiastic engineer who enjoys working across multiple disciplines and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with customers to develop and propose engineering solutions

Prepare tender packages and produce quotations

Plan and manage projects from quotation through to commissioning and completion

Coordinate labour, materials, and resources across projects

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including health and safety requirements

Produce drawings and technical documentation for electrical and control systems

Fault find on existing control systems and provide technical support to site teams

Complete safety documentation, including pre-start checklists and risk assessments

Maintain accurate in-house compliance records

Report accidents, incidents, and near misses in line with company procedures

Carry out work in accordance with RAMS and relevant training

Complete electrical isolations as required

Essential Requirements:

Minimum of five years' relevant experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment

Relevant electrical engineering qualification

Experience in control, automation, and instrumentation

Proven ability to fault find and repair machine control systems

Strong health and safety awareness, including producing RAMS

Experience managing and delivering projects

Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Confidence working independently as well as part of a team

Willingness to learn and develop new skills in industrial and control system environments

Desirable (but not essential):

Experience in control panel design or modification

Electrical CAD drawing and control system design experience

PLC and HMI programming experience

Additional Information:

Standard working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours or weekend work

Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience

Candidates based in, or willing to relocate to, the North West of England would be ideal
