Job Advert: Maintenance Support

Location: Canterbury, Kent
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor / Head of Maintenance
Hours: 44 hours a week

Pay Rate: £29,500 based on 44 hour working week

Over time opportunity - £32,200 based on 48 hour working week

2 days off a week which are usually Friday and Saturday OR Saturday and Sunday

Must have own PPE (safety boots, the rest is most supplied - hi vis, hair nets are worn by everyone)

Maintenance Support Opportunity

Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Support professional to help maintain machinery and equipment. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working in a fast‑paced environment, and ensuring machinery runs efficiently with minimal downtime.

Purpose of the Role

To support the performance and upkeep of all machinery and equipment across the site, ensuring smooth daily operations and reducing downtime.

Key Responsibilities

To maintain the machines in an efficient and hygienic manner.
To ensure that machines are maintained in accordance with the commissioning and/or preventative maintenance schedule and repaired as necessary.
To ensure an efficient change of tooling on East Site.
To ensure Efficient servicing of machines.
To ensure machinery and tools are kept clean.
To ensure that all problems arising are brought to the attention of the Head of Engineering or the Supervisor.
To ensure the handover maintenance log is completed and sent at the end of the day.
To ensure All Parts taken from Stock are booked out correctly.
To keep the workshop, tidy, clean and organised.
This is not an exhausted list and will change from time to time as the business grows.
