Salary: £15.50 - £16.35/hour holiday pay

Have you worked in an Oxford College as an Academic administrator? Are you free immediately, for the next few months?

We have registered a fantastic opportunity for you within this friendly and highly respected company!

The successful candidate will provide administrative support over the summer period, involving a wide variety of tasks, as well as absence cover.

Please note, this is a temporary, full-time position paid on a weekly PAYE basis. The role will start immediately, so sadly candidates with a lengthy notice period cannot be considered.

Temporary Academic Office Administrator Responsibilities

Deal with straight-forward enquiries from various departments
Draft and type letters/emails as required, including student documents and certificates
Provide basic cover for other members of the office during periods of absence
Monitor the general email inbox
Update and maintain relevant sections of the website
Assist with recruitment and appointment processes for incoming academics
Maintain filing systems and archiving processes
Assist with updating of student records and information systems
Other duties as required and as appropriate to the role

Temporary Academic Office Administrator Experience

Experience as an administrator within the Oxford University College system
Ability to pick up processes and follow instructions quickly
A methodical and highly organised manner
Flexibility and willingness to undertake a wide variety of administrative tasks
Good verbal and written communication skills
The ability to liaise with individuals at all levels
IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office software and databases
Pro-active and problem-solving approach to duties

Previous experience working for a Higher Education department
Knowledge of student records databases

The Location
Our client is based in Central Oxford (OX2). Sadly, due to the location of this role, there is no parking available onsite. However, it is based nearby to bus routes and other public transport.
