Are you a compassionate, resilient, and committed individual with a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in a specialist SEMH school based in Ely. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

About the Role:

Full-time, term-time position in a specialist SEMH provision

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them engage in learning

Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and classroom management

Foster a safe, nurturing environment to promote students' emotional and academic development

Implement tailored strategies to manage behaviour and support emotional regulation

Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists and SEN professionals

We are looking for someone who:

Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent

Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH, ASD, or additional needs (desirable)

Demonstrates empathy, patience, and strong behaviour management skills

Is passionate about inclusion and helping every child reach their potential

Can build positive, trusting relationships with children who have experienced trauma or adversity
