Your new role
Reporting to the Legal Manager within an international business unit, this is a Legal Advisor position focused on providing excellent levels of corporate governance expertise to the business unit. This unit has established itself over the last year, and creates an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to add real value to a function that is still developing. You will be instrumental in assessing, maintaining and developing the company's corporate policies and procedures. This will include supporting on corporate transactions including new joint ventures, reviewing business agreements (NDAs, non-executive directors' service contracts, etc.) and managing legal risk in relation to the company's activities. You will also perform governance duties that have company secretarial aspects.
What you'll need to succeed
As a junior lawyer with at least 1 years' post-qualification experience, you will be looking to learn as much as possible to develop as a legal advisor to the global business. You will have experience as a corporate orientated lawyer either in private practice or in an in-house financial services or corporate setting. You will have experience supporting on corporate transactions, and the willingness to take on what will be an advisory role with a great breadth of work. You will have had exposure to the corporate governance matters typically encountered by a large business, and you will be able to manage stakeholders at all levels. You will not be fazed by a fluid environment and you will be a team player with strong commercial acumen.
