Designer & Project Coordinator

The Opportunity

A well-established and growing organisation within the construction and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Designer & Project Coordinator to join their team. This is a key role responsible for managing projects from initial design through to delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of customer service throughout.

The Role

This is a predominantly office-based position, working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver technically accurate designs and well-coordinated projects. You will take ownership of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within specification, and to a high professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical drawings based on architectural and structural information
• Manage the full design approval process, including revisions and client sign-off
• Coordinate projects from design through to delivery
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear and professional communication
• Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
• Proactively resolve issues relating to design, delivery, or site requirements
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes

Requirements

• Previous experience within construction, structural, or manufacturing environments
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• High attention to detail and technical accuracy
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

Desirable

• Experience with precast concrete or flooring systems
• Familiarity with relevant design software (e.g. FloorCAD or similar)
• Understanding of construction design approval processes
