Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - TraffordStart Date: September | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity
Are you a patient, caring and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young people in their learning journey? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Trafford to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September.
This is a full-time, long-term position, ideally suited to someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students with additional learning needs.
The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Provide in-class support to students with a range of learning needs, including those with EHCPs and SEN requirements

Work closely with the SENCO, teachers and other support staff to help implement tailored learning strategies

Offer 1:1 and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and general curriculum subjects

Help students build confidence, develop independence and access the full curriculum

Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
The Ideal Candidate Will: -
Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting

Be passionate about inclusion and committed to supporting learners of all abilities

Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability

Be proactive and willing to contribute to the wider school community
A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate is desirable but not essential. Graduates considering a career in teaching are also encouraged to apply.
