Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £35,000 per annum / £18 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Temporary (Potential to Go Permanent for the Right Person)
Shift: Monday - Friday  - Day Shift (early finish on a Friday)

Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client's team in Salford. This is a long-term temporary role with a strong opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. You'll be working on the assembly of non-conveyorised systems, using 3D models and assembly diagrams to build high-quality mechanical components with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble mechanical components and systems in line with 3D models and technical diagrams.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate builds.
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments effectively and safely.
Conduct regular quality checks during the assembly process to meet company standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make adjustments as necessary.
Work closely with engineers and team members to optimize assembly methods.
Keep your work area tidy and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times.Requirements:

HNC (Higher National Certificate) or equivalent; relevant mechanical fitting certifications preferred.
Previous experience in a Mechanical Fitter role, ideally assembling non-conveyorised systems.
Ability to read and interpret general assembly diagrams and 3D models.
Proficient with a range of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Physically able to lift items up to 15kg.
