Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Transport Operator to join their busy transport department based in Teynham, Kent.The main duties of this role are:

• Ensuring that all drivers and sub-contractors are properly briefed and all elements of each job are clear.
• Route planning and effective utilisation of all available resources
• Transport compliance and ensuring all drivers follow drivers hours regulations.
• Liaising with all relevant departments to ensure the smooth operation of the transport department.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• CPC with National or International qualification is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience working within a logistics / distribution environment.
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• The ability to work towards strict deadlines
• A sound understanding of transport planning.

Salary/ Hours of work:

• The salary for this position is up to £33,000 per annum dependant on experience.
• The hours of work are 4 on 4 off with the hours being 19:00 to 07:00.

This role can be either permanent or temporary dependant on candidate preference.
