Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Norwich plus hybrid working (after probation)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: up to £45,000

We're working with a well-established, international business in Norwich that's looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team.

You'll manage and mentor a small ledger team, collaborate across departments (both finance and non-finance), and play a key role in strengthening internal controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance processes.

You'll be helping steer month-end and year-end reporting, supporting audits, and driving process improvement across AP, AR, and general ledger functions.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Overseeing day-to-day ledger operations and guiding a small, capable team
• Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting statutory reporting, audit processes, and compliance returns
• Driving automation and smarter ways of working within the finance function
• Partnering with stakeholders to deliver insight and promote best practices
• Providing technical accounting support to the wider business
• Acting as a first point of escalation and advisor for process issues and improvements

What We're Looking For:

• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA with proven accounting experience
• Strong supervisory or team leadership skills
• Experience working with auditors and delivering against tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (Oracle Enterprise One a bonus!)
• Confident communicator with the ability to translate finance into actionable insights for non-financial teams
• Highly organised, adaptable, and enthusiastic about continuous improvement
