The Role
As Head of Food Technology, you'll lead planning, delivery, and assessment of a dynamic Food & Nutrition curriculum at KS3 and KS4. You'll be responsible for food safety standards, supervising specialist technicians, and ensuring excellent practical outcomes.

Responsibilities

Curriculum leadership and planning

Ensuring compliance with health, hygiene, and safety regulations

Promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainable food practices

Managing departmental budgets and resources

Overseeing extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and competitions

Who You Are

A qualified teacher (QTS) with specialist Food Tech experience

*

Leadership or coordination experience in a D&T faculty

*

Passionate about hands-on, practical teaching and life skills

*

Up-to-date knowledge of food science, nutrition, and GCSE specifications
