Job Description:

The Customer Service Technician role forms part of the Wastewater Network Team. This is a field based role, devised to drive the resolution of issues on the public sewerage network. You will predominantly be dealing face to face with customers at their property, investigating drainage problems and applying the correct techniques to resolve problems on the Wastewater Network.

The Customer Support Technician is responsible for collecting data and producing an on-site report using United Utilities corporate IT systems, for each incident you attend. You will be the face of United Utilities, providing excellent Customer Service often in difficult circumstances and all weathers.

Day To Day Duties

Travelling with a hands-on labourer to visit clients’ sites which are experiencing issues with their home/office/building utilities.

You will be the person who is client facing, dealing with the paperwork and reporting side of things with the labourer doing the “hands on” part.

Issues will include water leakage, plumbing issues as well as other queries relating to the interior and exterior building.

You will need to be flexible in terms of working shift patterns, hold a driver’s licence and have a calm but professional approach with the UU clients.

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent)

Full UK Drivers Licence

A passion for quality customer service
