Are you a passionate EHS professional ready to make a real impact?
This is your opportunity to take ownership of health, safety, and environmental performance at a dynamic food manufacturing site, driving a culture where safety, wellbeing, and sustainability are truly at the heart of operations.

As Senior EHS Specialist, you'll be the site's go-to expert, shaping strategy, coaching teams, and embedding best practices across a fast-paced, high-compliance environment.

What You'll Do

* Champion a proactive safety culture across all site operations.

* Develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental policies in line with UK legislation and industry standards.

* Lead risk assessments, site audits, and hazard identification programmes.

* Deliver engaging training and toolbox talks on topics like manual handling, fire safety, PPE, and emergency response.

* Investigate incidents to root cause, implement corrective actions, and share learnings across the business.

* Drive environmental management and sustainability initiatives — reducing waste and improving energy efficiency.

* Produce compliance reports, liaise with regulators, and keep stakeholders informed on EHS performance.

* Promote engagement through creative safety campaigns and wellbeing initiatives.

About You

* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation — essential.

* Proven experience in EHS within food manufacturing, FMCG, or other highly regulated industries.

* A confident communicator with the ability to influence, coach, and inspire at every level.

* Analytical and solutions-focused, with a track record of turning data and insights into action.

* Experienced in leading audits, managing investigations, and driving behavioural safety improvements.

* Flexible, hands-on, and passionate about creating a safe, compliant, and positive workplace
