The Electrical Maintenance Operative will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems within a not-for-profit organisation. This temporary role in London requires a detail-oriented professional with a focus on ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Description

* Perform routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of electrical plant and equipment, including lighting systems (including emergency lighting), power distribution boards, switchgear, generators, fire alarm systems, and control panels.

* Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive maintenance calls, diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective, safe repairs.

* Carry out minor electrical installations, replacements, and upgrades in compliance with current regulations (e.g., BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations).

* Conduct routine inspections of electrical plant equipment and building services to identify potential issues early and ensure optimal performance and compliance.

Profile

A successful Electrical Maintenance Operative should have:

A recognised qualification in electrical maintenance or a related field.
Experience working in a property or facilities management setting.
Knowledge of health and safety standards in electrical work.
The ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and fault diagnosis.
