Are you a proactive leader with a "can-do" attitude and a passion for operational excellence? We are looking for a Production Team Leader to join our client in Walsall to drive safety, quality, and efficiency on the front lines of our production shift.

The Role

As a Production Team Leader, you will report to the Business Unit or Shift Leader, taking direct responsibility for leading a shift team to meet daily customer demands. Your focus will be on maintaining a safe working environment while optimizing costs and ensuring 100% on-time delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities

Safety & 5S: Ensure all team members strictly adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies while maintaining 5S standards within your area.

Operational Excellence: Manage OEE data on an hourly basis, use SAP to monitor stocks, and plan changeovers to minimize process downtime.

Team Development: Conduct "first day on the job" assessments, manage training matrices, and ensure all staff follow standard operating procedures.

Performance Management: Monitor machine outputs, allocate labor based on demand, and handle performance or conduct issues promptly.

Continuous Improvement: Support and lead activities focused on quality improvement and waste reduction (SMED/TPM).

What We're Looking For

Education: ILM Level 2 or equivalent is essential. IOSH Safety Management qualification is highly desirable.

Experience: Ideally, you have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills: You should be conversant with Microsoft Office tools and have a solid understanding of 5S, the 7 Wastes, and TPM. Knowledge of SAP (ERP systems) is a significant advantage.

Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills are vital for success in this role
