As a Plant Accountant you will provide support to the Plant Controller and will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, pre payments, accruals, bank reconciliations, inventory/stock taking and material usage variances.

My client are a global manufacturer. They are looking for a Plant Accountant to join them on a full time and permanent basis. Due to the nature of the organisation they require someone site based Monday-Friday.

Description

Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Monitor and report on cost variances, providing actionable insights to management.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the plant's operational expenses.
Maintain accurate records of inventory and fixed assets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely financial reporting.
Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
Provide support for ad hoc financial projects as required by management.Profile

Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
Previous accounting experience ideally within manufacturing.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost management and reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
