Job Summary

An excellent entry-level opportunity within a leading generator hire and power solutions company in the UK. The role supports the Yard Foreman and Rental team by managing goods in/out and maintaining a well-organised yard environment. Primarily depot-based, with occasional requirements to attend customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in general yard and workshop duties, including loading and unloading of equipment.

  • Ensure correct and timely loading/unloading of inbound and outbound vehicles.

  • Maintain yard cleanliness and organisation, adhering to QHES policies.

  • Operate forklift trucks in the yard (following appropriate training).

  • Record generator hours and fuel levels upon return.

  • Identify and report any damaged equipment to the Yard Foreman.

  • Contribute to the upkeep and presentation of the rental fleet.

  • Transport parts and essential equipment using company vehicles when required (after training).

  • Adhere to Health & Safety policies, maintaining clean and safe workspaces.

  • Follow ISO 9001:2015 procedures and contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Forklift Truck Licence (or willingness to obtain)

  • Experience in a workshop or warehouse environment

  • CSCS / NPORS card holder (desirable)

  • Able to work independently and within a team

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to tasks and responsibilities
