The Site Manager is responsible for leading a team and managing the day-to-day activities in the safest and efficient method within a customer site to exceed customer expectations. This position is responsible for communicating and building sustainable relationships with the customer to assess cost changes and selling opportunities as needed. This position is responsible for leading and developing a group of individuals in efforts to increase skill sets and shift talent throughout the organization.
Responsible for all activities associated within the customer site
Ensure that equipment and human capital correlate with customer contract to properly maintain and manage budget
Work closely with the General Manager and other leadership members to plan and secure all resources necessary to complete the job
Adjust budget according to customer needs
Plan for both scheduled and unscheduled jobs through the proper utilization of human capital and equipment
Ensure equipment is properly maintained, clean, and in working conditions at all times
Develop an understanding of the customer manufacturing process to properly plan and complete jobs efficiently and safely
Proactively assess selling opportunities by understanding customer processes and communicating accordingly
Ensure all administrative duties are completed properly and on time such as timesheets, POs, etc.
Attend customer meetings as required to communicate financial status and activities occurring on site
Build relationships with all key customer representatives
Communicate job scope changes, job details, job costs saving, and potential job opportunities with customer representatives
Control cost through properly managing consumables, equipment, and human capital
Lead, coach, train, and support a group of employees
Identify and develop talent within the site team to move talent through the organization
Proactively assess safety opportunities to create a culture conducive to safety
Enforce and communicate all Thompson and customer safety rules with the team
Ensure all employees are prepared to complete jobs in the safest way possible: PPE, etc.
Report any quality issues to the appropriate leadership
Act is a way that is professional and representative of Thompson Industrial Service, LLC at all times
Tools, equipment, machinery used: Large industrial cleaning equipment and materials, large industrial vehicles, and computers and basic computer systems (Word, Excel, etc).
Working conditions: Normal office environment (on-site and off-site locations), outside work, extreme temperatures, noisy conditions, shift work, flexible schedules, on-call hours, 24/7 availability.
Physical effort required: Some heavy lifting, working with large machinery, confined spaces, and heights.
Travel required: Geographical territories can range in size depending on the customer base. Overnight travel will be required for this position.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in engineering or industrial field.
Excellent communication skills and computer skills (Microsoft office)
3-5 years of experience within industrial or operations field
3-5 years in management preferred
Must possess good administrative, public relations, and technical skills necessary to enhance overall operations
Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record
