Ideal candidates will be those who have got a broad background across all facets of finance, with experience working in change environments and exposure to system implementations.Typical benefits of a start-up such as SLT exposure and a broad role, coupled with the security provided by the parent company makes this a rare opportunity that can't be missed.Salary: £55,000-£60,000Benefits: Discretionary bonus, up to 14% pension contribution, rising holiday entitlement starting at 25 – increasing by one day per year, private health care, mobile phone, birthday off and more.Location: Central Manchester, Hybrid working (2 days in the office)
• Oversee the creating of monthly management accounts, and monthly report packs for Group: this includes P&L, monitoring KPI’s, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
• Challenging business unit performance against budget and providing value added insight to improve performance and gain a greater understanding of the numbers.
• Performing monthly balance sheet reviews, ensuring a robust reconciliation process and present issue and solutions promptly.
• Act as a Finance Business Partner with budget holders in key business areas.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and regular re-forecasts to Group.
• Ensure robust financial control procedures, systems and processes are in place and reviewed regularly.
• Co-ordinating and overseeing the year end statutory audit and ad-hoc internal audits.
• Deputising for the Finance Business Partner/ Head of Finance as required, in operational meetings, management meetings and board meetings.
• Identify development and training needs of direct reports.
• Management of IFRS 16 position.
• Overview of CIS submissionsPerson Specification:
• CIMA/ ACCA or ACA Qualified Accountant.
• Excellent communicator, with the ability to work in a dynamic team.
• Management Accounts background with proven experience working in a change environment.
• High level of organisation and project management skills.
• Advanced Excel skill set.
