Join a leading industrial equipment supplier in Croydon as a Maintenance Technician. This role offers a great opportunity for an ex-forces engineer, plant fitter, or mechanical technician looking to apply their skills in a structured service environment. The Maintenance Technician will primarily work in a regional service and repair facility, with occasional site visits for mobile breakdowns.
Day-to-day of the role: - Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical hire equipment including compressors, generators, small plant, and lifting gear.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections and accurately record asset conditions.
- Assist with small wiring repairs and component replacements.
- Ensure compliance with LOLER/PUWER checks and maintain workshop health and safety standards.
- Log all work clearly and maintain accurate records as part of your Maintenance Technician responsibilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, plant fitter, mechanical technician, or similar role.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
- Familiarity with LOLER/PUWER regulations.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
