Paralegal - Family and Litigation
(Full-Time, Office-Based - Maidstone)
A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated and client-focused Paralegal to join its busy Family and Dispute Resolution departments. This is a full-time, office-based position located in Maidstone, offering a great opportunity to work within a friendly and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attending client meetings and preparing detailed notes
- Opening and closing files in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Drafting legal documents, including applications and witness statements
- Time recording and assisting with billing processes
- Preparing and managing correspondence with clients and third parties
- Preparing electronic court bundles and booking counsel
- Conducting legal research and general administrative support
- Assisting fee earners with day-to-day tasks as required
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualifying law degree or a minimum of 2 years' experience as a paralegal
- Strong administrative and organisational abilities with keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Pro
- Experience using case management systems
- Solid understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and Family Procedure Rules
- Professional telephone manner and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
