Development Director 

Backed by 25 years of success this multi-disciplinary consultancy/development partner provide specialist support to Blue-Chip housebuilders on mass infrastructure schemes. Clients include Taylor Wimpey, Hallam Land,  Vistry, This Land, Countryside and Crest Nicholson. Their projects include the strategic major infrastructure for new towns and settlements of between (Apply online only) new homes.

As a Development Director you'll be…

Co-ordinating and managing on all aspects of the project including planning, technical, commercial, environmental, legal and construction, including crucially the interfaces between the various components.
Our teams co-ordinate key infrastructure to produce serviced land parcels for house builders and commercial operators to allow them to focus on their key operations.
Leading project teams both internally and including client teams, designers, contractors, key stakeholders and local communities.
Challenging the status quo to drive value engineering whilst ensuring the quality and deliverability of the scheme.
This will include:

Evaluate site constraints, set and monitor opportunities and risks to value engineer wherever possible.
Work closely with Principal Designers, Principal Contractors and Production Managers.
Appointment and management of both internal and external consultants.
Ensuring that designs, reports and applications are completed and submitted with a high degree of accuracy, to the highest quality and that all aspects talk to each other.
Setting and maintaining programme and budgets.
Provide leadership and resource planning to the business to ensure the team are able and ready to deliver in all circumstances.
To consistently challenge the status quo and strive to improve the overall performance of the business.
Meet with clients, stakeholders and local communities to report on project progress.
Identify and manage risks quickly in order to prevent time delays and possible damage to the company reputation.
Remain informed on up-to-date planning, technical and environmental matters.
Seek business development opportunities to bring new work to the company.
Oversee and provide assistance to internal project managers within the Development Management Team.
