Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent a qualified Sports Coach (PE teacher) for a Sandwell based primary school. We are supporting a popular primary school in Sandwell (Tipton, DY4 8ET, West Midlands) with a permanent teaching job. We are working directly with the Principal who would like us to assist in finding them an experienced and enthusiastic PE specialist to support across their school.

This primary school-based teaching job is offered on a part-time basis to start from September 2024. Typically, your weekly working hours will be 24 per week; 45.2 pay weeks per year. Additionally, you will be required to attend afterschool clubs, and this will be agreed with the Principal. Your key duties will include, but are not limited to:

•    Lead the teaching of PE across the EYFS, KS1 and KS2. 

•    Care and maintenance of P.E. equipment.

•    To organise physical activities for a designated part of lunchtimes.

•    To lead the organisation of competitive sports with other settings in conjunction with the School Games agenda. 

•    Monitor the implementation of all plans and provide feedback regarding progress and attainment.

•    Collate information and maintain records in relation to pupil achievement.

•    Support with transition arrangements for pupils leaving and entering the school.

We are fully committed to safeguarding all children within our schools. In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following:

•    A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in one sport or equivalent (linked to sports/coaching) 

•    A higher-level sports/coaching/teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)

•    All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.

•    Exceptional references.

Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements. You will be provided with advice and guidance in relation to your requirements that respect your home and work life balance. You will work solely with your consultant throughout your registration journey and beyond, always having direct access to speak with them on a one-to-one basis.

Proposed start date: September 2024

Salary: Band D Scale Points 9-17 (£14,000 - £16,170 per annum)
