Clinical Advocate/ Phlebotomist

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: The Clinical Advocate acts as a central point of communication among physicians, vendors, patients and co-workers. The Clinical Advocate will work closely with patients and physicians in administering medical services, namely collecting urine samples for toxicology and/or cheek swab and blood samples for any tests Southern Premier offers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following:
(Other duties may be assigned to meet office/business needs)
· Maintain supplies and forms necessary to carry out daily duties
· Greet patients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner
· Adhere to policies and procedures when collecting patient urine, blood and cheek swab
· Ensure that all specimens are collected correctly and properly identified
· Communicate with Account Manager to schedule DNA and urine pick-ups for off-site
laboratory analysis
· Update and maintain patient records with appropriate collection documentation
· Prepare patients for both urine, blood and cheek swab collections
· Explain collection procedures to patients
· Resolve any Patient or Provider questions and/or concerns

· Phlebotomist
· Must be detail-oriented and organized
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Punctual, Honest, and trustworthy
· Able to work with minimum supervision
· Customer service driven
· Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
· Able to multi-task
· Professional appearance

· High School Diploma or GED
· Certified Phlebotomist
· Minimum of 1 year of experience
