Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton to recruit a Humanities and Social Science Teacher to teach A-level students. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and knowledgeable educator to join a supportive school environment with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured A-level lessons across Humanities and/or Social Science subjects, supporting students in achieving strong academic outcomes and preparing them for higher education or future career pathways. The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers as well as confident Early Career Teachers with strong subject knowledge and a clear enthusiasm for post-16 education.

The role will involve:

Planning and delivering high-quality A-level Humanities and Social Science lessons

Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and discussion

Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and academic support

Contributing to departmental planning and maintaining high curriculum standards

Supporting students with exam preparation and independent study skills

The ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Have experience teaching Humanities and/or Social Sciences at A-level (or strong subject knowledge with relevant experience)

Be committed to raising attainment and inspiring students at post-16 level

Demonstrate strong classroom management and excellent communication skills

Be reliable, organised, and passionate about education
