Desian Education is proud to be supporting a single-form entry mainstream primary school in St Helens that is easily accessible via public transport as they require a motivated and reliable learning support assistant to join their team on a long-term full-time temporary basis. This supportive school require full-time support with an immediate start available to support pupils and deliver targeted interventions to SEN pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Your new role

• Comprehensive 1:1 support for pupils with SEN including ASD, LD, and behavioural needs
• Delivering targeted 1:1 interventions in core subjects, behavioural and communication
• Supporting with phonics and guided reading
• Integrating into new pupil groups
• Liaising with the SENCO on pupil progress and recognising key-milestones
• Supporting during break and lunch-times

What you need to succeed

• Full “Right to Work” in the UK
• Have a DBS on the update service or willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
• Have experience supporting SEN
• Be at least NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
• Be able to commit to a full-time temporary contract (32.5 hours per week)
